This year why don't you forget the canned puree and make your own. It's really simple. Here's how:
- Heat your oven to 325 degrees
- Cut a pumpkin in half horizontally
- Scrape out the seeds
- Bake both halves, cut side down on a buttered baking sheet until tender - approx. 1 hour
- Cool
- Scrape pulp from the shells and then blend or process until smooth
